Well Disney does it again. Their new movie Prince of Persia has cast a white British actress, Gemma Arterton, to play the East Indian role of Princess Farrah. Why can’t they cast an east Indian actress. There lots of them in the US and in Britain with more credits on their resumes than this actress.

Oh, boy...I remember that day. Crazy. But I don't know, in a sense, I felt it wasn't really anything new. It's just that this time, we knew the people in it personally. Fights over stupid things happen all the time [I think we should come to expect that, especially considering where we live...]. Kids wanting to seem 'hardcore', repping their turfs, whatever. It's not gonna end anytime soon.

Oh, and about how our school is racially divided... pft, hell yeah! Kind of reminds me of Mean Girls. But anyways...funny how you see it that way. I agree with most of your description of our cafeteria set-up. Except that most of the Mexican/Hispanic kids and black kids hang out with each other. And the Asian tables...hmm. I'm assuming I'm what you described as a "white-washed Chinese" then, though I hardly think of myself as 'popular'. Ha, the "Smart Asians" are mainly Chinese because almost everyone speaks Chinese to each other? Mmm. There's also those little sub-tables[?]; tables that aren't really noticed or stand out [or filled with 7th graders, ick].

Yeah...we're pretty grouped together.

By the way, happy birthday!

I've always thought it dumb to discriminate people based on their ethnicity... but then I remembered the way I feel about gypsies. In my defense, I got 'burned'.

Basically this rather looks like my first elementary school seating. You could practically draw a line through the middle of the classroom separating boys from girls :P The teacher then decided to do "forced seating"... maybe someone should do that in real life too. Then we'd learn.

Anyway, have a Merry Christmas. :D

Yep, I've been saying that to my friends for a long time. There is one table that I sit at that people call the "Outlander" table. I usually mix up my tables every so often. Anyway, at the "outlander" table, there are like 3 african-americans, 5 chinese guys, 2 filipino guys, 3 mexican guys, and the rest are caucasian. No girls sit at the table though (the guys are pretty disgusting).

I don't blame disney for what they've done. It's what the movie buyers and cable owners want. I have nothing against disney; I actually like some of their movies (High School Musical not included) and tv shows.

I have a couple of ideas why the people in this world are turning this way, but you'll have to ask me later for that. I'll just say we're coming close to the "Last Days".

LATER!

Yes, that's true, especially in a place with many people. There tends to be fewer of these problems in smaller places where there are less races. It's just that people feel more comfortable around people who are similar to them.

I think that Disney does things the way it does so that it doesn't get sued for promoting racism. Its image is closer to what a cafeteria would be like in a small school.
